The United States is considered one of the
world’s strongest nations. The strength comes from its people; American people are the most influential group of people
in the world because they help to make the decisions on how their country is run this form of government is known as a democracy.
Democracy works by allowing the citizens of the nation to help make decisions for the betterment of the country. Because of
this fact I believe it is important to point out a horrendous problem that is slowly destroying the country we all love.
The
problem with the increase in demand for crude oil, petroleum, and natural gas is that America does not produce enough of either
domestically to satisfy our needs. So we import it from countries such as Russia,
Kazakhstan, Chad, Malaysia, Angola, Equatorial
Guinea, Ecuador, Sudan,
Vietnam, Brazil, Syria, Australia, Norway
and the United Kingdom. This dependence
on foreign oil imports is severely crippling the American people. And if nothing is done soon we risk loosing our country
and very possibly our lives or the lives of our children.
